Bracing the elements head-on and wearing influences of grunge, doom, punk, rock, and blues on their sleeves, Wailin Storms create a perfect storm of sounds and moody textures laced within each seductively psychedelic, country-twanged vignette. Wailin Storms released their fourth full length album “The Silver Snake Unfolds” in 2022 following the band’s highly acclaimed, breakthrough album, “Rattle” (2020) – which received praise from NPR, Brooklyn Vegan, Treble, PopMatters, Indy Week, and more. Drenched in rapid, vigorous, and genre-bending rock, WAILIN STORMS passionately divulges stories of folklore, mysticism, inner torment, love, death, and tantrums of overwhelming anxieties.

OPTIC SINK is the post-punk project from Natalie Hoffmann (NOTS), Ben Bauermeister and Keith Cooper. Their debut album was released on Goner Records in 2020, and their second album ‘Glass Blocks’ (recorded at the home studio of Caufield Schnug of Sweeping Promises) is out now on Feel It Records. Between albums, the band expanded on their electronic meets post-punk sound, adding multi-instrumentalist Keith Cooper on bass and guitar, and bringing Natalie’s no-wave guitar approach back into her synth-based setup. The result is a voyage into dynamic sonic territory, with the band’s wide array of influences—from house to punk and beyond—combining to create something vibrant and unexpected.

KHX05, pronounced as “Chaos”, (They/She) is an alternative/punk artist based out of NC. The Gullah/Geechee trans multidisciplinary shapeshifter started their career as a professional dancer/choreographer straight out of high school being trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop. They performed for years as a dancer/choreographer and drag artist until they stumbled into a music career in 2018 releasing their debut ep Transformation which included hit single “Izwe Lethu” a song that would be re-released in 2020 as a standalone. KHX05 released her first mixtape THE VIOLENT FEMME MIXTAPE the following year in 2019 which displayed the artist’s musical versatility as well as their roots in liberation and revolution.
The following year the artist caught the eye of Never Normal Records founder and Grammy nominated music producer/dj and singer Suzi Analogue which resulted in the release of KHX05’s 2021 smash ep BLXCK KXT & BLXCK KXT: THE REMIXES through Never Normal which truly solidified her as a force to be reckoned with. Current day the musical anomaly has added producing under her belt and has a self-produced debut album MENACE TO SOCIETY out now! KHX05 truly is one of a kind and force to watch out for in the music industry.
